Jeju Central Masjid is the only mosque on Jeju Island and the central place of worship for Muslim residents and travellers across the island. It sits on the second floor of a building in Sancheondan, on the cross-island road near the Jeju National University entrance, and holds the five daily prayers as well as Jumu'ah, the Friday congregation. Friday timing shifts with the season, so arrive 15 to 20 minutes early, especially during Ramadan and high season when the hall fills quickly. The masjid is about 20 to 25 minutes by taxi from Jeju International Airport, and the downtown halal cluster around Assalam, Bagdad, and Rajmahal is roughly a 15-minute drive away. Its position on the road between Jeju City and the south coast makes it a natural prayer stop on the way across the island. For Friday schedules, contact islamjeju@daum.net.
